About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge life sciences research organization, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Biologist to join our innovative team. This role is critical for developing and applying advanced computational models to understand complex biological systems and processes. As a fully remote position, we foster a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment for our researchers worldwide. Based out of Polokwane, Limpopo , you will be instrumental in integrating multi-omics data, developing predictive models, and contributing to significant discoveries in areas such as disease mechanisms and therapeutic development. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement computational models for analyzing complex biological networks and pathways.
• Integrate and analyze multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) to gain systems-level insights.
• Design and perform in silico experiments to test hypotheses and predict biological outcomes.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists and clinicians to interpret model results and guide research directions.

Requirements

• PhD in Systems Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or equivalent research experience focused on computational modeling of biological systems.
• Proven expertise in developing and applying computational models (e.g., differential equations, agent-based models, network analysis).
