Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure in Paarl. You will oversee day-to-day server, network, and related systems to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux, virtualization, scripting, and strong networking. You will implement IT strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor junior staff, and contribute to disaster recovery and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Proven expertise in managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is advantageous.
