Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer specializing in supply chain optimization to join our client’s team in Kimberley, South Africa. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience across end-to-end supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will analyze complex logistics, warehouse operations, and distribution networks, applying Lean Six Sigma and modeling tools to deliver significant improvements and robust, agile solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain engineering or logistics optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SCM, logistics, and warehousing best practices.
• Proficiency with WMS and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts and material flow strategies.
• Develop and deploy Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for supply chain performance.
