Job summary

Srg Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end international supply chain operations in Bayhead, KwaZulu Natal. You will oversee sourcing, procurement, supplier management, freight, customs and delivery to meet customer requirements.

In this role you will drive cost-effective, compliant, high-volume logistics, manage a multi-disciplinary team and partner with sales on quotations and new business opportunities, while mitigating risk across the network.

Qualifications

• Matric and relevant qualification in Supply Chain or related field advantageous.
• 7–8 years of Supply Chain leadership experience.
• Strong experience in international supply chain, import/export, freight forwarding, procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing complex, high-volume operations with international suppliers and multiple logistics stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of sea and air freight, customs, shipping docs, Incoterms, VAT and trade requirements.
• Strong commercial experience including supplier negotiations and cost control.
• Experience developing SOPs, reporting, controls and service standards.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 and Excel; Shipshape advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supply chain operating plan, priorities and service delivery.
• Oversee end-to-end process from customer requirements and procurement through supplier production, freight, customs clearance and final delivery.
• Manage international suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, shipping lines and transporters.
• Coordinate sea, air and multimodal freight, balancing cost, lead times, reliability and customer requirements.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with customs, tariffs, Incoterms, VAT and trade requirements.
• Lead supplier and service-provider negotiations, performance reviews and cost management.
• Partner with Sales on quotations, tenders, customer solutions and new business opportunities.
• Monitor operational costs, identify cost leakage and support margin protection.
• Drive operational controls, reporting, process improvement and technology adoption.
• Identify and manage supplier, operational, capacity, geopolitical and compliance risks.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

Job description
