The institute has a vacancy for a Senior Student Advisor at our Highveld campus in Centurion.

Role Description

The Senior Student Advisor is to co-lead student recruitment efforts at the Highveld campus. To work with and under the supervision of the VPSA (Vice Principal Student Affairs) in managing and mentoring a team of Student Advisors while personally contributing to student recruitment targets.

The Senior Student Advisor will co-lead the end-to-end student recruitment process: leads, appointments, applications, and registrations while ensuring alignment with the campus sales and marketing plan and meeting own targets and expectations. The Senior Student Advisor will play a key role in shaping NGI\'s student recruitment processes, fostering relationships with prospective students and target schools, and enhancing our unique educational model focused on collaborative learning and industry-relevant qualifications.

The role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to exceed targets in a high-energy, student-focused environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the campus student recruitment strategy in collaboration with and under the guidance and management of the Vice Principal Student Affairs to meet and exceed enrolment targets.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of Student Advisors, ensuring consistent performance against individual and campus-wide sales goals (database collection, appointments, applications, and registrations) in collaboration with the Vice Principal Student Affairs.
  • Deliver high-energy presentations at targeted schools and represent NewBridge Graduate Institute at career expos, ensuring a professional and engaging brand presence. To ensure that Student Advisors meet the required standard.
  • Oversee the distribution of marketing materials (e.g., campus brochures, interest cards) and monitor their effectiveness in generating leads.
  • Manage and achieve Calling, WhatsApp, and follow-up targets with school leads and prospective students on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. To ensure Student Advisors are meeting targets in collaboration with the Vice Principal Student Affairs
  • Conduct high-impact interviews with prospective students and parents, leveraging in-depth knowledge of programmes, module compositions, pricing structures, and bursary options to secure registrations.
  • Analyse and report on team and individual sales activities during weekly campus sales meetings, proposing actionable solutions to challenges and driving continuous improvement.
  • Champion the promotion of additional services, such as the NewBridge Sports Institute and Accelerate Academy, to boost sign-ups and enhance the student experience.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to the campus CRM system, providing oversight to maintain an effective lead and sales pipeline.
  • Where applicable, to work closely with the Senior Marketing Consultant in ensuring all student recruitment administration standards are met
  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Consultant to ensure all documentation is completed accurately and aligns with institutional standards.
  • Drive adherence to the campus sales and marketing plan, adapting tactics as needed to meet evolving student recruitment goals.
  • Facilitate and support ongoing training and coaching for the team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends, supporting the Vice Principal Student Affairs and National Sales Training Manager
Required Competencies
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strategic thinker with a target-driven mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a methodical approach to achieving results.
  • In-depth understanding of tertiary education recruitment processes and student advising.
  • Completed Tertiary Qualification (degree preferred) and/or 4+ years of industry-related sales experience with a proven track record of success in an assistive or direct leadership role.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in an assistive supervisory or direct leadership role
  • Tertiary student recruitment experience preferred.
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle essential.

Salary: Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience.

  • Alongside the dynamic role and its responsibilities, we provide an attractive commission structure tied to target achievement.
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Candidate must be willing to work extended hours during peak registration periods and key events such as Open Days, Registration Days, Information Evenings, and School Events.
