About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their prestigious construction firm based in Centurion . This role demands a deep understanding of structural principles and their application in designing safe, efficient, and innovative building structures. You will lead complex structural design projects, working closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure the integrity and feasibility of designs from concept through to completion. This is an on-site position requiring direct collaboration and problem-solving at the project level, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence are met in every build. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of building types, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Develop detailed structural drawings , specifications, and calculations using advanced engineering software.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and buildable designs.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor the construction progress of structural elements and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
• Perform complex structural modeling and simulations to test design integrity under various load conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA or equivalent international accreditation.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro, and CAD software .
• In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant South African building regulations.
