Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide specialist support to translate asset specific strategy, critical tasks, and performance targets into Supply Chain relevant strategies with due consideration of risk identification, critical tasks and performance targets.
- Engage with the asset operational planning team to obtain insights which inform Supply Chain planning, and provide relevant insights to the asset process.
- Provide input into demand planning and forecasting in order to ensure alignment between Supply Chain and asset/ BU plans and support on‑site performance.
- Support provision of input to the commercial planning and the procurement pipeline, reflecting asset priorities.
- Support reporting for asset scorecard and Supply Chain targets including but not limited to (OTIF, lead time, Inclusive Procurement, performance inventory management activities) and value working capital.
- Provide support with end‑to‑end Supply Chain operational performance and excellence at an asset level, as well as assistance with removal of roadblocks which impact delivery and supplier performance.
- Identify and escalate to address roadblocks and constraints which impact delivery performance.
- Support and where assigned manage specific improvement initiatives based on priorities set by leadership.
- Assist with cross collaboration between internal and external stakeholders and resolving complex Supply Chain issues and escalations from the operations.
- Provide input into driving key decisions on Supply Chain operational delivery issues.
- Implement Supplier Relationship Management processes across the operations.
- Support with embedding consistent asset compliance to Supply Chain policies and standards across the BU and advise the Business Unit technical stakeholders on the supplier/s and implementation of management strategies.
- Support the implementation of new ways‑of‑working that support leading practice and continuous improvement.
- Support the communication of relevant site‑specific safety specifications and KPIs to commercial teams for inclusion in enquiries and contractual documentation.
- Implement the contracts with requisite change management and effective performance management at asset level to ensure value in use.
- Provide input to commercial and technical contractual requirements and adjudication of supplier bids.
- Support provision of input to value delivery contractual requirements.
- Ensure that asset sustainability, safety and host community requirements are satisfied by contractual requirements.
- Identify and elevate supplier performance issues.
- Ensure an effective and efficient PSC service is provided to all assets and BU stakeholders.
- Provide data analysis and counsel, consistent with the Operating Model feedback loop, to identify and deliver improvement initiatives in pursuit of operational excellence.
- Provide “on the ground” support for Group initiatives being implemented at BU operations.
- Collaborate and build relationships with relevant stakeholders to influence asset Inclusive Procurement plans.
- Ensure supplier is meeting contractual requirements related to Sustainability, Inclusive Procurement & Social.
- Support the development and implementation of business specific social & sustainability strategies and initiatives that will contribute to the sustainable mine plans and enable the Living Mine.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity-Desirable
Experience
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
Technical knowledge (experience) and skills required for role
- Good overall knowledge of Supply Chain Management in a global context (Sourcing, Purchasing, Category management, Physical SC etc.)
