Responsibilities

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist – SAP Power User to provide expert user support, training, governance, and change management across our supply chain technology platforms.

Reporting to the Director, Technical Platform Support & Reporting, this role acts as a critical link between business operations and digital technology, ensuring seamless system functionality and continuous improvement.

The Key Responsibilities

• User Support & Incident Management: Manage user incidents and requests through to resolution, ensuring service delivery and operational continuity.
• Business–Technology Interface: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the digital technology team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Access & Governance: Oversee system access provisioning and monitoring to ensure compliance with governance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GIA).
• Data Quality & Reporting: Maintain data integrity, support data extracts, and produce monthly and quarterly reports for incident management and system usage.
• Testing & Change Management: Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and lead change management activities for new system functionality.
• Training & Continuous Improvement: Coach and train end users while identifying opportunities for process and technology enhancements.

Requirements

• 7-10 years experience in supply chain technology.
• 7-10 years experience in the supply chain department of a large scale mining company.
• Strong knowledge of source-to-pay, logistics, inventory, and governance workflows.
• Proven SAP ECC and Ariba expertise with advanced analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven expertise in Excel, SQL and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of SOX governance frameworks.
• Degree in Technical or Commerce field.
• SAP ECC (MM preferred) certification is critical.
• SAP Ariba certification preferred.
• Must have the right to work in South Africa.
