A telecommunications company in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Specialist Cyber Security Networks for a 6-month contract. This role involves supporting the design and implementation of advanced cyber security controls across various networks including mobile and cloud. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a degree in Information Technology, and a strong grasp of security frameworks like NIST and ISO. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Role purpose: Support the design, development, and implementation of advanced cyber security controls across mobile, fixed, satellite, cloud, and IoT networks to protect against evolving threats.
Initially focus on Enterprise and Business environments across all Group markets, contributing expertise to key initiatives covering Enterprise Customer Premise Equipment, IP Core Networks, Network Management Systems, Office Connectivity, Monitoring & Analytics, and Measurement & Assurance.
Apply SME-level knowledge to ensure secure configurations and compliance with ISO, NIST, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of security solutions.
Provide subject matter expertise to guide junior staff, and actively support the Principal Specialist in driving technical delivery and ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
