Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef for a prestigious luxury hotel based in George. This position is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced 5-star environment and has a strong background in food production team leadership and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and quality control of all culinary operations including Food Production, Food Service, Catering, Event Planning and Back of House
  • Deliver a 5-star culinary offering across all outlets and restaurants
  • Stay up to date with evolving guest dining trends and introduce creative cost‑effective menu innovations
  • Monitor stock usage and design menu items that maximize inventory efficiency
  • Assist with planning, budgeting and procurement to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Control costs by analyzing recipes and assigning prices based on food labor and overhead expenses
  • Maintain operational efficiencies and uphold culinary excellence in all dishes prepared and served
  • Train, mentor and guide junior kitchen staff, setting clear standards and ensuring strong team performance
  • Uphold all SHEQ and FCS standards within each kitchen division
Requirements
  • Minimum 3‑year Chefs Diploma from an internationally recognized institution
  • At least 6 years of culinary experience with 3 years in a Sous Chef role within a 5‑star hotel or resort
  • Classical training and solid foundation in fine dining techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP and financial acumen will be an advantage
