Job summary

Vodacom is seeking an experienced Technology Architect to lead a team in designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions for Vodacom Business. You will validate end-to-end solutions across mobile, core connectivity and beyond, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

The role requires 7+ years in technology architecture, strong TOGAF knowledge, and proven leadership in distributed teams.

Qualifications

7+ years in technology architecture and systems
Experience in managing an architecture team
Domain architecture and design expertise
Strong TOGAF knowledge and practice
Experience with telecoms/IT design and cross‑functional coordination
Excellent English communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Oversee solution architects to identify end-to-end requirements and drive design
Govern multi-tower solutions aligned with business objectives and standards
Define architectural guardrails and collaborate with product teams for feature refinement
Ensure architecture documentation and lifecycle integrity
Maintain alignment with Enterprise and Integration Architecture standards
Lead delivery planning with engineering and project management teams
