Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a Renewable Energy Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of large-scale solar sites in East Rand. The role emphasizes leading cross-functional teams, budget management, safety and quality compliance, and driving performance across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• At least 5 years experience in solar or renewable energy, including project and contract management.
• Proven leadership experience in managing people and resources.
• Strong understanding of SHEQ, compliance, and environmental management.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communicator who can work well with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar sites.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Supervise subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Monitor site performance, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
• Handle procurement, stock control, and warehouse processes.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and operational reports.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Work closely with clients, sales teams, and engineers to deliver the best project outcomes.
