Job summary

Golden Rule in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure digital platforms and websites. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define the technical roadmap and ensure high-quality code throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong .NET and SQL Server expertise, and proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries and front-end frameworks, including Angular.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in software development.
• BCom / BSc degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of .NET technologies including Web Forms, MVC 2.0+, and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with SQL Server 2012+.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries such as Angular, Underscore, KnockoutJS, JQuery, BackboneJS, Foundation; front-end skills with Angular valued.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, and optimise platforms for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Stay updated on industry trends and evaluate their relevance.
• Participate in peer reviews of designs and code; mentor team members.
• Deliver business value through quality technical solutions and code.
• Own projects from start to finish and elevate technical standards.
