Job summary

Crossing Hurdles in South Africa is seeking a software engineer to create reinforcement learning environments to test AI models' problem-solving abilities and to develop robust software solutions.

You will refactor codebases, optimize performance, and deliver reproducible environments and golden reference solutions for engineering challenges, while collaborating across teams to improve design and scalability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript, with additional experience in C++ or Go considered a strong asset.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience in debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable solutions.
• Strong background in feature development and codebase refactoring.
• Proven ability to optimize software for performance and scalability.
