Performance Objectives for Year One
  • Architect and Deliver a Core Digital Platform : Within the first 12 months take ownership of a key project leading the design and development of a new transactional web application using C# / .NET Core ensuring it is scalable secure and ready for launch.
  • Elevate Team Capabilities & Mentorship : Within the first 6 months establish yourself as a technical leader and mentor for a team of developers. Actively improve code quality through peer reviews and introduce best practices measurably increasing team velocity and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Streamline Development & Deployment Workflows : By the end of year one play a pivotal role in optimizing the development lifecycle by enhancing and championing the use of CI / CD pipelines reducing deployment friction and improving the overall efficiency of the team.
  • Drive Technical Standards and Modernization : Within 9 months contribute to the technical roadmap by evaluating and advocating for modern technologies and patterns (e.g. advanced PaaS consumption containerization) ensuring the platform architecture evolves to meet future business demands.
Profile for Success
  • A proven track record of designing building and launching complex transactional web applications in a C# / .NET environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Tech Lead or senior mentorship capacity where you were responsible for guiding other developers conducting code reviews and driving technical standards.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the full Microsoft stack including C# Core (Web API Windows Services) and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and working with modern CI / CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
  • Strong background in Agile / Scrum methodologies and a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • A BCom / BSc degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
