Intercare Corporate Services in based Menlyn, Pretoria seeks to recruit a Senior Software Developer.The purpose of this role is to lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade software solutions using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing applications while mentoring team members and driving innovation in healthcare technology.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Develop robust, maintainable, and scalable applications across front-end, middle-tier, and databases.
• Participate in architectural design and recommend scalable patterns to ensure system performance.
• Lead Agile development initiatives, deliver sprint commitments, and implement Agile metrics.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote development excellence.
• Ensure system stability, performance, and security, while reducing incidents and validation errors.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, including CI / CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and version control.
• Integrate software solutions with existing healthcare systems via APIs and microservices.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality assurance.
• Set up and maintain infrastructure environments for products and client solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to support onboarding, maintenance, and audits.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve healthcare operations and digital tools.

Formal Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in software development

Service Orientation

Strong understanding of software development in a healthcare context preferred. Service-oriented with the ability to manage internal and external expectations effectively.
