Our Fintech client is seeking an experienced Software Developer – eCore (Oracle) to design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise core systems.

This role will focus on Oracle technologies at the heart of the organisation's finance, HR, and business applications.

The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle development expertise with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development & Maintenance: Develop, customise, and maintain enterprise core (eCore) applications built on Oracle technologies. Write efficient, scalable, and secure code using Oracle PL / SQL, Forms, Reports, and Database development. Optimise SQL queries and database performance to support high‑volume transactional systems.
• Systems Integration: Design and implement APIs and integration solutions to connect Oracle eCore systems with third‑party and internal applications. Work with SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, and message queues for seamless data exchange.
• Frontend & User Interface Development (where applicable): Contribute to UI / UX development using HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP. Enhance user experience for business‑critical applications.
• DevOps & Cloud Deployment: Use Azure DevOps, Git, and CI / CD pipelines for version control, automated testing, and deployments. Work with AWS and/or Oracle Cloud services to enable modern, cloud‑ready solutions.
• Problem Solving & Business Engagement: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime for mission‑critical systems. Maintain compliance with security, governance, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Technical Skills: Strong experience in Oracle PL / SQL (packages, triggers, stored procedures). Proven background in Oracle Forms, Reports, and Database development. Experience with XML, SOAP, RESTful APIs, JSON, WCF. Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP). DevOps exposure: Azure DevOps, Git, CI / CD pipelines.

Cloud experience: AWS or Oracle Cloud services.

Experience: 5+ years in Oracle application development (ERP / HR / Finance / SCM systems experience preferred). Demonstrated success in delivering end‑to‑end enterprise solutions. Exposure to large‑scale transactional or financial systems preferred.

Petencies: Analytical and solution‑driven mindset. Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross‑functional teams. Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot effectively. Adaptability to evolving technologies and enterprise environments. High standards of quality, testing, and documentation.
