Placements24 is partnering with a leading construction company to recruit a Senior Site Engineer for projects in Paarl, Western Cape. The role demands a hands-on engineer who will be on site full-time, ensuring safe, efficient delivery in line with drawings and specifications.

You will lead day-to-day site activities, review engineering drawings, liaise with the Project Manager and client representatives, and drive progress across residential, commercial or industrial builds in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in civil engineering or construction management.
• ECSA registration is advantageous.
• Minimum 6 years of site engineering and construction supervision experience.
• Experience managing residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities per plans and schedules.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site supervisors and labour.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare progress reports.
• Manage site logistics including material procurement and equipment use.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate site records and liaise with Project Manager and clients.

About the Role

Our client, a leading construction company known for its high-quality building projects, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee construction activities in Paarl, Western Cape . Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration (e.g., ECSA) is advantageous.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in site engineering and construction supervision.
• Proven experience in managing residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site safety procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to be based full-time on construction sites.
