Based in Cape Town, This Senior ServiceNow Specialist / Architect role offers in between R900K and R1m.
The Client
Global ServiceNow Consulting & Implementation partner with its brand new Cape Town office as the hub of ServiceNow operations expertise : to support client engagements, their own ServiceNow workflow applications / ”solutions”, and ServiceNow instance.
The Role
You will work closely with the Head of Practice and the Head of Operations, taking ownership of the technical delivery of enterprise-level ServiceNow projects. You’ll guide technical engagements, ensure high-quality solution design and delivery, and drive successful outcomes for clients.
As a key member of their team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering ServiceNow modules, including ITSM Pro, ITOM, HRSD, APM, and SPM.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead ServiceNow Implementations: Architect and manage the end-to-end implementation of scalable ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM Pro, ITOM (Discovery), HRSD, APM, and SPM.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders and technical teams to gather requirements and turn them into actionable, robust ServiceNow solutions.
- Best Practices & Standards: Champion ServiceNow best practices, ensuring solutions align with both client requirements and long-term platform sustainability.
- Customization & Development: Lead the development and customization of ServiceNow, using JavaScript, Flow Designer, REST / SOAP APIs, and other integration technologies to deliver tailored solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee testing, audits, and review processes for new implementations or existing workflows, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide expert guidance to the team and third parties, encouraging collaboration and technical excellence.
- Complex Problem Resolution: Tackle advanced technical challenges, ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability.
- ServiceNow Instance Ownership: Co-manage ServiceNow instance in collaboration with the Head of Practice and Head of Operations.
- Strategic Planning & Development: Contribute to account and project planning, proposals, and the development of services across the ServiceNow practice.
Minimum Requirements
- ServiceNow Expertise: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow consulting, particularly in ITSM Pro, ITOM, HRSD, APM, and SPM.
- Certifications: ServiceNow certifications such as CIS, CAD, and CSA are highly desirable.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Expertise in JavaScript, Flow Designer, REST / SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow integration strategies.
- Architectural Design: Extensive experience designing scalable and complex ServiceNow architectures.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated success leading large-scale ServiceNow implementations with a focus on technical and business alignment.
- Communication Skills: Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and lead teams in delivering high-quality technical solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with investment management applications (e.g., eFront, Intralinks, Simcorp Dimension) is preferred but not required.
