Your day at NTT DATA The Senior Security Technical Architect is an advanced subject matter expert, responsible for designing robust security architectures for our systems, applications, and infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technology solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Expertise will be crucial in protecting sensitive data, mitigating risks, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organization systems.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and develop complex security architectures for systems, applications, and infrastructure, considering current and future needs.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the client.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (developers, engineers, project managers) to integrate security requirements into system design and development lifecycle.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and analyze client requirements in conjunction with the client's current security capabilities.
  • Provide guidance in secure coding practices, network security, identity and access management, data protection, and other security domains.
  • Evaluate and select security technologies, tools, and frameworks to support the security architecture.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet the client's objectives.
  • Define and apply security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Lead incident response activities, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery, in coordination with the incident response team.
  • Develop or produce the technical design document to match solution design specifications.
  • Participate in scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP / RFI responses with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with outsourcing determinations, product pricing, and collaborations to develop implementation solutions.
  • Influence and guide Sales teams to enable deal closure and maintain visibility of forecasting and sales pipeline.
  • Manage client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, coordinating resources and delivering the POC.
  • Own the proposed solution on engagements and transition the build / implementation to the delivery team.
  • Evaluate opportunities for alignment with organizational capabilities and business policy, prepare executive summaries, document proposed technology solutions and SOWs, prepare pricing, and develop a network diagram and parts list as required; manage and document all deliverables and success criteria.
Knowledge and Attributes

  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills for risk assessment and security issue resolution.
  • Advanced product knowledge integrated with technology understanding.
  • Advanced knowledge of security domains (network, application, cloud, data protection, IAM, cryptography, secure coding).
  • Advanced enterprise architecture knowledge (TOGAF) and architectural patterns for secure, scalable systems.
  • Advanced understanding of security regulations and frameworks (ISO, NIST, PCI DSS).
  • Familiarity with vendor subscription models and CPQ tools (e.g., Cisco CCW).
  • Experience with key security vendor solutions (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, ZScaler, F5, CyberArk).
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or information systems or related field.
  • Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT).
  • Software and programming languages relevant to DevSec / DevNet.
  • SAFe Scaled Agile certification advantageous.
  • Vendor product, sales and technology certifications (required).
Required Experience
  • Advanced professional technical experience within a large-scale technology services environment.
  • Experience as a Security Technical Architect or similar role designing and implementing security architectures for complex systems.
  • Demonstrable experience with security technologies and tools (firewalls, IDS / IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, secure coding analysis).
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
