Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Principal Security Platforms Engineer to act as a subject matter expert for the MSSP Cortex XSIAM platform and related security technologies. The role emphasizes architecture, automation, onboarding, and incident-ready operations across security platforms for managed services.

The candidate will lead platform design, integration projects, and detection content development while mentoring SOC engineers and collaborating with customer success teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, or CS is required.
• 10+ years in cyber security engineering, SOC, or security architecture.
• 2+ years hands-on with Cortex XSIAM/XDR.
• Experience onboarding and normalizing SIEM/XDR telemetry; develop XQL queries.
• Experience with automation, orchestration, APIs, broker‑VMs, and cloud integrations.

Responsibilities

• Support architecture, roadmap, and evolution of the MSSP Cortex XSIAM platform.
• Design multi-tenant service architecture for managed security services.
• Lead platform architecture reviews; optimize scalability, performance, cost.
• Act as trusted advisor for onboarding, use‑case development, and platform optimization.
• Lead and build new service platform and automation for SOC/security services.
• Upgrade platform integrations and adoption within XSIAM and related platforms.
• Provide L4 escalation support for complex platform issues.
• Develop and maintain platform standards, procedures, and integration guides.
