Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant in Johannesburg to provide expert consulting on SAP Basis, Hana, and related infrastructure. You will plan, install, configure, migrate, and maintain SAP systems, ensuring performance and scalability across enterprise environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support production systems, and contribute to best-practice governance, security, and disaster recovery planning in a cloud-enabled SAP landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• 5+ years in SAP Basis technical consulting; 3 years SAP Basis and/or Oracle preferred.
• SAP Certification required.
• Experience with SAP and DB performance, HA/DR, and cloud hosting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and applies technical knowledge of software development frameworks and business process configuration systems.
• Leverages fluency in technical languages, operating systems and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates knowledge of SDLC, modelling of business processes, application design patterns, requirements analysis.
• Maintains platform health and availability including HADR testing.
• Interfaces with business solution teams and partners on operational platform events and design needs.
