About The Role

Capitec is establishing a Centre of Excellence to provide governance, controls, and supplemental skills for our product teams.

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our cross‑functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex software systems and applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and future requirements.
• Guide and support developers and stakeholders in scoping, progress, status, and resolution of engineering problems.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent; Undergraduate degree (preferred).
• At least 6+ years of experience in developing Salesforce solutions.
• Relevant Salesforce certifications.
• Experience with modern front‑end and back‑end frameworks and technologies.
• Experience with OmniScript, Apex, Flow, or Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce Financial Service Cloud or Services Cloud.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, interpersonal & relationship management skills, problem solving skills, planning, organising and coordination skills, knowledge of Salesforce Financial Service Cloud, Salesforce Services Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, DevOps and IT systems development processes (SDLC).
• Advanced programming concepts, advanced algorithms and data structures, design patterns, version control, testing practices, database systems and query optimization.
• RESTful API design and integration, cloud computing platforms and services (AWS, Azure), advanced microservice and event‑driven architectures, deployment using Kubernetes and containerization, responsive design principles, front‑end build tools and package managers.
