Senior Sales Consultant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Consultant for our Sustainable Technology - Distribution Division based in Briardene, KZN. This role involves working closely with customers to grow and promote the sale of Rubicon products, including generating new business opportunities, qualifying leads, developing long-term customer relationships, implementing strategic plans, and managing assigned customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate and align sales plans for assigned customers
- Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects within assigned regions
- Develop profitable and sustainable sales growth through engagement with current, potential, and dormant customers
- Perform B2B sales activities
- Meet and strive to exceed sales goals as assigned by the Division Head of Energy
- Schedule regular customer meetings, establishing targets to be met
- Establish and maintain long-term professional relationships with decision-makers, with frequent visits for key accounts
- Close and grow sales through professional communication and provide exemplary customer service throughout the sales cycle
- Maintain comprehensive information on accounts, including organization, budget, and preferences
- Manage and interpret customer requirements to meet their needs effectively
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
- Support customers with technical advice
- Create and maintain account plans for assigned customers and identify value opportunities
- Communicate sales opportunities, customer concerns, and suggestions
- Investigate, track, and resolve customer concerns or complaints, identify trends, and implement solutions
- Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to provide excellent service and resolve issues
- Research sources for prospective customers and assess their potential
- Promote market awareness of our products and industry experience
- Maintain records of customer communications via internal platforms
- Prepare quotes and participate in trade shows, conferences, and marketing events
- Monitor client information, payment performance, and communicate relevant data to the team
- Share market requirements and data with sales teams and managers
Role requirements include:
- Minimum Matric/NQF4 qualification
- At least 2-3 years proven experience as an External Sales Consultant in the solar energy industry
- Relevant industry knowledge and experience
- Engineering technical background is advantageous
- Effective communication skills
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license
