As a Sales Consultant in our client's medical division, your focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with existing key healthcare professionals (HCPs), specifically Ophthalmologists, Wound Care Practitioners, and Periodontists where applicable, at targeted hospitals, clinics, and practices.
You will also educate and onboard new key HCPs.
Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our market presence and driving strategic growth.
Minimum 2 years of in-field sales consulting experience in a medical‑related field
Preferred: Have pre‑existing relationships with Ophthalmologists
Develop a deep understanding of the biologics products and services offered by our company.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, competitors, and trends.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with targeted HCPs, including Ophthalmologists, Wound Care Practitioners, and Periodontists, at hospitals, clinics, and practices.
Communicate regularly to understand their requirements and provide personalized solutions.
Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote biologics products and services.
Collaborate with the team and line manager to create compelling materials, presentations, and campaigns.
Work with the line manager to identify key HCPs, secure meetings, and ensure visibility of our product portfolio.
Monitor and manage marketing materials to align with strategies.
Use a consultative approach in sales interactions, understanding the challenges faced by each HCP and offering tailored solutions.
Conduct presentations and demonstrations, providing comprehensive information and addressing questions or concerns.
Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Use insights to tailor sales approaches.
Aim to meet or exceed sales targets.
Monitor performance and take corrective actions as needed.
Provide in‑service training to hospital staff on relevant products.
Address issues promptly, maintain open communication, and build long‑term relationships.
Keep accurate records of sales activities and prepare reports for management.
Attend industry events to network, stay informed, and represent the company.
Travel locally within and outside South Africa to call on HCPs.
