Job summary

DP World in Kempton Park is seeking a Logistics Planner to plan daily trips by allocating volume to vehicles and routes, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full as per customer orders or SLAs.

You'll maintain an accurate planning tool database, deliver daily route plans for the fleet, and provide reporting on assigned projects and operations, collaborating with on-site staff to stay aligned with daily activities and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics.
• National Diploma in a logistics related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily trips by allocating volume to vehicles and trips to meet customer orders or SLAs.
• Deliver a least cost route plan via the planning tool.
• Ensure the least cost daily route plan for the entire fleet is achieved.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date planning tool database.
• Adhere to the daily route plan and ensure timely execution.
• Input daily feedback from vehicle expediters into the planning system.
• Coordinate with on-site operations staff to stay aware of daily activities.
• Produce documentation and analysis on assigned projects.
• Ensure NDDs for customers are accurate and timely.
• Provide management and operational reporting that is accurate and current.
