Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer specializing in reinforcement learning for our Randburg facility. You will design and deploy advanced RL systems, build simulation environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions across products.

You will stay updated on latest RL research and contribute to publications, conferences, and internal knowledge sharing. The role requires a Masters or PhD and 5+ years of RL experience, strong Python and deep learning

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS, AI, robotics or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of RL development experience.
• Strong Python programming and DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with RL libraries (Ray RLLib, Stable Baselines).
• Experience with simulation environments and parallel computing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize RL algorithms.
• Develop simulation environments for training RL agents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy RL solutions.
• Research advanced RL topics including deep RL, multi-agent RL, model-based RL.
• Ensure scalability, efficiency and robustness of RL systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Analyze results and provide insights for model improvement.
• Document findings and contribute to team knowledge.
