Placements24 is seeking a Senior RF Network Engineer in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on planning, optimization, and troubleshooting of RF networks across 2G/3G/4G/5G, with emphasis on drive tests, frequency planning, and interference mitigation.

You will lead RF projects and mentor junior engineers in a dynamic telecom environment. The position supports remote work with occasional travel to the North West region, and offers opportunities for advanced training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years hands-on RF network design and optimization experience.
• Strong RF propagation knowledge and understanding of GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR architectures.
• Experience with RF planning/optimization tools (Atoll, Planet) and drive tests.
• Knowledge of spectrum management and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with microwave links and backhaul technologies is beneficial.
• Must be comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to the North West region if required.
