The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a large team driving sales performance and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the dealership ensuring seamless functioning across all departments
  • Lead and motivate a team of over 230 employees to achieve performance and sales targets
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, promotions and customer engagement initiatives
  • Manage stock levels, merchandising and store layout to optimize sales performance
  • Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers, logistics and finance teams to enhance overall efficiency
  • Conduct training sessions, performance reviews and implement staff development programs
  • Handle customer escalations with professionalism and empathy
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in retail management, preferably within a hypermarket or large-format store
  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising and customer service best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in retail systems, reporting tools and performance tracking
  • Matric essential; tertiary qualification in Retail Management or Business Administration advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly and deliver results in a high-volume environment
