Salary : Market-Related (Approx. R85 000 – R110 000 per month CTC)

Work Schedule : Night Shift

Overview :

The role requires significant site-based leadership , technical oversight of asphalt overlays , and management of night-time construction activities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee the implementation of all on-site construction activities, with a focus on night work .
• Monitor and supervise asphalt overlay and localised patching works across the carriageway.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and technical teams to maintain smooth project delivery.
• Manage project timelines, construction methodologies, and material usage.
• Conduct regular site inspections, reporting, and documentation.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, including method statements and progress reports.
• Attend progress meetings and provide input on technical and operational matters.
• Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Mentor junior site staff and assist in resolving site-related technical challenges.

Minimum Requirements :

Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) – Mandatory

Experience :

Minimum 10 years’ experience in road rehabilitation as a Senior Resident Engineer

Previous experience with site-based, night-shift roadworks is essential

Contract Specifics :
