About the Role

Our client, a leading energy exploration company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reservoir Modeler to join their technical hub in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This critical role involves developing and managing sophisticated dynamic reservoir models to predict hydrocarbon recovery and optimize field development strategies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in reservoir simulation software, geological data integration, and uncertainty analysis. Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of direct experience in reservoir modeling and simulation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with major reservoir simulation software packages (e.g., Eclipse, CMG Suite, Tempest).
• Proven ability to integrate diverse geological and engineering data into complex models.
• Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid flow, and petrophysics.
• Experience with uncertainty assessment and sensitivity analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex simulations to various audiences.
• Experience working in or familiarity with the geological context of Mpumalanga is advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, Excel VBA) is a plus.
