Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a fully remote, globally distributed fintech team. You will design, implement and deploy advanced ML models, working with large-scale data and cutting-edge tools to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions.

You will mentor junior data scientists, collaborate with engineering and BI teams, and stay at the forefront of data science innovations to deliver impactful results in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field required.
• 5+ years in data science with ML focus.
• Proficient in Python or R and ML libraries.
• Strong SQL and large dataset experience.
• Cloud and big data tech familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to address business needs.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop predictive models for customer behavior, risk, fraud, and market trends.
• Clean, process, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders via visualizations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and AI.
• Contribute to data infrastructure and best practices.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share knowledge across the team.
