Job summary

OneDayOnly.co.za is seeking an experienced Mobile Developer to own and deliver consumer-facing apps across React Native, iOS, and Android. You will optimize performance, implement robust API integrations, and contribute to a scalable mobile design system.

You will mentor peers, drive end-to-end feature delivery, and maintain fast, reliable release processes in a busy e-commerce environment. Cape Town-based role with a strong focus on quality and user experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Shipped production apps with React Native.
• Solid native mobile experience in Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance optimisation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile networking patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality features across React Native, iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), and Android (Kotlin).
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from design to production.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across startup, rendering, and network layers.
• Maintain and improve mobile CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and data flows.
• Implement pixel-perfect UI and contribute to design systems.
