Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related field.
• 7+ years in pharmaceutical R&D with demonstrated leadership.
• Expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms and purification techniques.
• Proficiency with analytical techniques such as NMR, Mass Spectrometry and HPLC.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a team of R&D chemists in synthetic chemistry projects.
• Develop novel synthetic routes for complex organic molecules and drug candidates.
• Oversee purification, characterization, and analytical testing of compounds.
• Collaborate with biologists and pharmacologists to advance drug discovery programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lab best practices in Cape Town.
• Contribute to patent applications and publications.
