The role requires 8–10 years in engineering, expertise in quality systems (ISO/TS 16949, 9001, 14001), and strong project leadership. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and overall performance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years' engineering experience within the (automotive) manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in manufacturing process optimisation.
• Experience leading capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
• Experience with production equipment, automation systems and mechanical design.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and mentoring engineers or technicians.
• Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc/BTech) in Mechanical Engineering.

This newly created Senior Quality Engineer position offers an opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to play a key role in driving manufacturing excellence, process improvement and quality within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role combines engineering leadership, continuous improvement, project management and quality assurance, with a strong focus on improving equipment reliability, manufacturing efficiency, product quality and operational performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Skills

• Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, 9001 & 14001), and regulatory requirements applicable to automotive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve quality objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office, statistical analysis software) and quality management systems (e.g., ERP, QMS).
• High Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Preferably Lead auditor qualification and experience – IATF 16949 & VDA6.3 (Advantageous)
• Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements – Primarily Stellantis, Ford, VW, Hyundai, Nissan.
