ECM Ground (Pty) Ltd is seeking 3 Senior QA Automation Engineers for a 12-month independent contracting basis in Gauteng/Sandton. The role focuses on designing, developing and executing automated tests, building an automation framework, and integrating tests into Azure DevOps pipelines.

You will work with developers, analysts and stakeholders in an automation-first approach, ensuring test coverage, quality and continuous improvement across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certification (or higher) is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Software Testing and QA.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Test Automation.

Responsabilités

• Own testing activities across project and BAU initiatives from planning through to release.
• Design and execute risk-based test strategies for functional, integration, API, regression, end-to-end and UAT testing.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and regression suites using xUnit, NUnit and C#/.NET.
• Perform API testing using REST/SOAP and tools like Postman/Bruno.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for CD
• Analyze requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
• Manage defects through resolution and drive root-cause analysis.
• Validate data using SQL and Azure Cosmos DB where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Agile lifecycle.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality engineering practices.

Our client in the Financial sector is looking for 3x highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineers on a 12-month independent contracting basis with strong hands-on coding capabilities and technical depth to work independently to build their automation framework.

The Senior QA Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of applications across the ASP platform through the design, development and execution of automated and manual testing solutions.

Working closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Business Stakeholders, you will champion an automation-first approach, embed quality throughout the SDLC and drive continuous improvement across the QA practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Own testing activities across project and BAU initiatives from planning through to release.
• Design and execute risk-based test strategies covering functional, integration, API, regression, end-to-end and UAT testing.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and automated regression suites using xUnit, NUnit and C#/.NET.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Minimum3 years’ experiencein Test Automation.
• Strong experience with:

• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile delivery and risk-based testing.
• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Experience testing distributed systems and microservices.
• Exposure to Azure Application Insights, KQL or cloud-native applications.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and driving automation best practices.
