Job description

This job involves actively prospecting potential home loan clients through various methods, including lead providers, personal marketing, and engagement opportunities. The role requires using needs analysis and selling techniques to either switch clients from other financial institutions or offer tailored home finance packages with excellent service.

Alignment to Business Strategy:

Ensure branch, regional, and national targets are met to maximize profits and shareholder value.

  • Source potential clients
  • Use proactive prospecting methods: build a network through partnerships and relationship building
  • Use reactive methods: referral campaigns, events, email campaigns, presentations, networking, calls, social activities, letters, flyers, open days

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify client needs through open-ended questions and active listening
  • Pre-qualify clients based on their background and credit criteria
  • Identify financial challenges and their impact
  • Maintain records for future follow-up if clients do not qualify
  • Match products to needs and present features and benefits effectively
  • Explain application procedures and credit assessment criteria
  • Draft explanations for abnormalities, explain LOA, and close deals
  • Follow up and maintain contact post-deal, including obtaining referrals
  • Complete and file applications with supporting documents

Requirements:

  • Own transport/car essential
  • Matric qualification

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 2 years of proven sales success in a proactive, pressurized environment
  • Strong administrative skills

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years in home loans sales or related field
  • Confident, resilient, persistent, self-reliant, energetic, professional, respectful, service-oriented, accountable, good time management, outgoing, skilled in prospecting, needs identification, networking, relationship building, verbal communication, negotiating, and credit analysis
