Position: Chief Financial Officer
Work Hours (Client): Monday to Friday - 8 am - 4pm CST Full-time, Permanent
Pay Range: $3000 - $4000 USD/month (varies based on skill set and experience level)

The role is fully Remote. The company is a growing asset management firm specializing in multifamily assets, particularly in affordable housing. With 100 apartments currently under management and plans for expansion into third-party property management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and lead the company's overall financial strategy, ensuring strong budgeting, forecasting, and reporting frameworks that support growth and profitability.
- Partner closely with the Founder and leadership team to guide decisions on acquisitions, capital planning, and portfolio expansion.
- Provide strategic financial insights that drive operational efficiency and long-term value creation.
Hands-On Accounting & Data Entry (Initial Onboarding Phase)
- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliations, payroll, payables, and receivables.
- Gain familiarity with company processes, client structures, and reporting workflows to build a foundation for higher-level responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions for multiple entities and properties.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee financial operations after onboarding, including accounting, payroll, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation and alignment between AppFolio and QuickBooks data.
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and investors, highlighting key metrics, trends, and actionable insights.
- Lead budget preparation and variance analysis, monitoring performance against financial targets at both company and property levels.
Property-Level Financial Oversight
- Track, analyze, and interpret financial data across all properties, including cash flow, rent collections, expenses, and maintenance costs.
- Take ownership of property-level financial performance, identifying inefficiencies, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for revenue optimization.
- Collaborate closely with the property management team to ensure financial practices align with operational goals and support decision-making.
Investor Relations
- Prepare and deliver clear, insightful investor reports that summarize property performance and company financials.
- Maintain transparent, professional communication with investors, providing updates on financial results, forecasts, and key business developments.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Optimize and streamline financial systems, reporting workflows, and automation tools to enhance efficiency and reduce reliance on external accounting services.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
- Implement new tools and dashboards to improve reporting accuracy and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7 + Years related Accounting/ Finance experience
- Proven experience in real estate finance, preferably in property management.
- Quickbooks and Property Management platform experience is required, ideally with Appfolio.
- End-to-end accounting experience, from bookkeeping to management reporting
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to track, interpret, and act on financial data related to property operations.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders and investors.
- Ideally experience with real estate, property management, or construction clients
- Strong background in Excel-based financial modeling and analysis
