About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee significant construction and development projects in Polokwane, Limpopo. This is a key role responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, ensure adherence to timelines, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects successfully. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for construction and development projects, from initiation to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, budgets, resource requirements, and timelines.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on project sites.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure the quality of construction and deliverables meets project specifications and standards.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project reviews to ensure compliance and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on construction and development projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex building or infrastructure projects with substantial budgets.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and regulations relevant to Limpopo.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing diverse teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., Pr. CM, PMP) is a significant advantage.
• Experience working in Polokwane or surrounding areas is preferred.
