Introduction

My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT industry, including at least 5 years in software development
  • Proven success managing end-to-end IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industry (advantageous)
  • Skilled in working with diverse stakeholders (local and international)
  • Strong track record using JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools
  • Solid understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and IT governance frameworks
Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Track progress, manage risks, and ensure all milestones are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate updates, risks, and dependencies clearly and consistently

  • Ensure deliverables meet required quality and business standards
  • Conduct post-project reviews and apply lessons learned to future initiatives
