SD Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is assisting a private hospital in Cape Town to recruit a Senior Professional Nurse. The role focuses on supporting the unit manager in coordinating patient care and ensuring a safe, positive patient experience within a busy ward.

You will deliver nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team, maintain accurate records, develop staff competence, and ensure stock and equipment are properly charged.

Qualifications

• Registered nursing qualification with relevant scope of practice.
• Postgraduate specialty qualification preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting and patient safety focus.

Senior Professional Nurse

Our client, a highly regarded Private Hospital, is seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Senior Professional Nurse. The aim of this position is to ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the co-ordination of patient care and management of the unit.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.
• Midwifery.
• Post graduate certificate/ diploma in specialty area.
• 3 years post qualification experience.
