Job description
Role Purpose

Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager: Indirect Materials to drive the execution of effective procurement strategies across a complex indirect spend portfolio. The role is both operational and strategic, requiring a seasoned procurement leader who can optimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), manage supplier risk, and deliver measurable savings in a fast-paced environment.

The successful incumbent will manage high-impact, service-based categories including Facilities, Travel, Entertainment, Insurance, SHEQ, Catering, PPE, Hygiene, Utilities, and related services across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned to business needs and procurement policy

  • Manage a large and sensitive indirect spend portfolio, delivering measurable and auditable savings

  • Lead practical sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation

  • Perform and interpret spend analysis and TCO modelling to inform decision-making

  • Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance, ensuring SLA adherence

  • Engage closely with internal stakeholders and end users, demonstrating empathy and service focus

  • Drive continuous improvement, governance adherence, and operational discipline

  • Operate effectively in a hands-on capacity, supporting an evolving and under-resourced structure

Minimum Requirements
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Engineering, Business or related field

  • 7+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Category Management

  • 3 – 5 years in a management or senior leadership role (advantageous)

  • MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), PMP, or SCMPdesirable
