Duties & Responsibilities

We're seeking a hands‑on Commissioning Engineer with strong process engineering expertise and practical on‑site commissioning experience within the mining and metals industry.

This role will lead commissioning activities, ensuring smooth start‑up and performance optimisation of process plants.

The ideal person has worked closely with operations and plant management teams, understands how a plant runs, and can step in confidently to keep things moving during this maternity cover period. You'll be responsible for overseeing process commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing across the plant, ensuring that systems integrate seamlessly and operate according to design and safety standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements :

• Degree in Chemical / Metallurgical / Process Engineering (or similar)
• 5+ years experience in process engineering and commissioning within mining or mineral processing (platinum, gold, or base metals preferred)
• Strong site‑based experience with a solid understanding of plant operations and process flow
• Proven ability to lead commissioning and work effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams
• Confident, practical problem‑solver who thrives in operational environments
