About the Role

Our client, a premier private banking institution, is actively recruiting a highly experienced Senior Private Banker to serve affluent clients in the prestigious Sandton, Gauteng area. This role is pivotal in managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and families, offering bespoke banking, investment, and lending solutions. The Senior Private Banker will be responsible for cultivating deep client relationships, understanding their complex financial needs, and delivering exceptional, personalized service. This position requires extensive knowledge of wealth management, investment products, and credit facilities. The role is client-facing and based in our Sandton, Gauteng office, requiring a strong presence within the financial hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Provide expert advice on a comprehensive range of private banking services, including deposit accounts, lending solutions, investment management, and trust services.
• Conduct in-depth financial assessments to understand client objectives and risk profiles.
• Develop and implement customized wealth management strategies to meet client goals.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling bank products and services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Nurture strong relationships with internal partners (e.g., investment specialists, credit officers) to ensure seamless client service.
• Proactively seek new business and referrals to expand the client base in the Sandton, Gauteng region.
• Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and new financial products.
• Maintain the highest standards of client confidentiality and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CFP) is highly desirable.
