Role Overview
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber with strong leadership abilities and a hands-on, self-motivated approach. The ideal candidate will have solid technical plumbing skills, the ability to manage teams on-site, and a commitment to maintaining excellent service and workmanship standards.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water systems and related equipment across both residential and commercial projects. The role requires strong planning, communication, and quality control capabilities to ensure all work complies with plumbing standards and company expectations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair water systems, fixtures, and piping.
- Perform installation of water meters and related components.
- Lead and supervise plumbing teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Manage daily site operations, including planning, scheduling, and quality control.
- Maintain accurate job records and complete required reports and documentation.
- Liaise professionally with clients and team members to ensure excellent customer service.
- Monitor stock levels, handle tools and materials responsibly, and ensure site safety compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
- Trade-tested and qualified Plumber.
- Minimum 3 years experience in residential and commercial plumbing maintenance.
- Proven experience installing water meters and related plumbing systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).
- Sound understanding of plumbing codes, safety practices, and installation standards.
- Proficient in MS Word and other basic computer applications.
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport.
- Physically fit and capable of performing on-site duties.
- Ensure all work adheres to SANS plumbing codes and relevant industry regulations.
- Experience in leak detection, heat pump and solar installations, or residential water backup systems.
- Exposure to materials such as copper, galvanized, Mepla, and Hep2O pipes.
- Possession of a Medical Fitness Certificate advantageous.
