• PhD in Plant Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Agricultural Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years post-doctoral experience with strong publication record.
• Proven expertise in plant breeding, molecular genetics, genomics, and/or genetic engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage research projects focused on plant genetics, molecular biology, and crop improvement using advanced biotechnological tools.
• Design and execute experiments, including genetic marker development, gene editing, and tissue culture protocols.
• Analyze complex biological data sets, including genomic and transcriptomic data, and interpret results to guide research direction.
• Develop and optimize new breeding strategies for enhanced crop yield, stress tolerance, and nutritional value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including agronomists, field trial specialists, and bioinformatics experts.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and research assistants, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
• Author scientific publications, present findings at international conferences, and contribute to patent applications.
• Ensure adherence to rigorous scientific methodologies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage research budgets and resources effectively to achieve project milestones.

Requirements

• A PhD in Plant Science, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Agricultural Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in plant science or agricultural biotechnology, with a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated expertise in plant breeding, molecular genetics, genomics, and/or genetic engineering.
• Proven experience in designing, conducting, and managing complex research projects.
• Proficiency in analyzing large biological datasets using relevant bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory landscapes and intellectual property in agricultural biotechnology.
• Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 or other gene editing technologies is highly desirable.
