Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Phase Technology Teacher to join Stellenbosch-based team. The role focuses on practical projects, design, and engineering concepts, guiding learners with creativity and problem-solving.

You will oversee workshop safety, assess progress, and deliver CAPS-aligned Technology education. A B.Ed or PGCE, SACE registration, and Senior Phase teaching experience are required, with a collaborative school environment in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

  • B.Ed or degree with PGCE focusing on Technology education.
  • Professional registration with SACE.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Technology at the Senior Phase level.
  • Proficiency in workshop safety procedures and the management of technical resources.
  • Strong understanding of the CAPS curriculum for Technology education in South Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Senior Phase Technology subjects, including design, manufacturing, and basic engineering principles.
  • Develop and implement practical, project-based learning experiences for students.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of workshop equipment and tools by students.
  • Assess student progress through project evaluation, practical tasks, and theoretical understanding.
  • Inspire students' interest in technology and encourage critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
