Job summary

Hungry Lion in Stellenbosch seeks a Payroll Supervisor to lead payroll administrators across several African countries, ensuring accurate weekly and monthly payments and serving as the final checkpoint before approval. You will own payroll processes and collaborate with Group Finance to deliver timely results.

This role requires 5+ years in a similar payroll role with 2+ years in supervision, strong Sage 300 People experience, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a similar payroll role handling 1,500+ employees.
• At least 2 years in a payroll supervisory position leading a team.
• Solid working knowledge of Sage 300 People and Excel.
• Experience with weekly and monthly payrolls and payroll migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the payroll administrators across countries with daily operations.
• Review hours, leave integrations, and payroll payments for final approval.
• Own payroll accounting, run journals, and support month-end/year-end activities.
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and master data accuracy.
