Job summary

Aramex in George, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily logistics, transportation, and warehousing activities. Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics is advantageous.
• Must have a valid Code 8 Driver’s license.
• Advanced Excel & Power BI skills with MS Office.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operations and at least 2 years management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operations.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
• Track and manage budgets related to operations, including labor and transportation costs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching for operational staff.
• Oversee proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
• Liaise with external vendors and logistics providers to ensure service quality.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all operational activities.
• Manage reverse logistics processes for returns and damaged goods.
• Prepare reports on operational performance for senior management.
• Support development and training of team members to improve skills and productivity.
• Oversee daily operations across logistics, transportation, and warehousing.
• Supervise drivers and warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor KPIs to drive operational efficiency.
