Job summary

FROSTBYTE is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise software using Microsoft .NET technologies. You will build scalable web apps, APIs and integration services, while aligning with security, performance and business requirements.

The role involves contributing to technical design decisions, supporting integrations, maintaining standards and driving best practices. You will troubleshoot production issues and enhance application performance within CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

The Senior .NET Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining enterprise software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies. The role involves building scalable web applications, APIs and integration services while ensuring that solutions meet business requirements, security standards and performance expectations.

The successful candidate will contribute to technical design decisions, support system integrations, maintain development standards and promote software engineering best practices. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, improving application performance and supporting the delivery of reliable software through established development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Develop and maintain web applications, APIs and integration services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, WCF and SOAP services.
• Work with solution architects, business analysts, Product Owners and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed service levels.
• Design, develop and maintain database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Implement secure and reliable integrations between internal applications and external systems.
• Participate in solution design, architectural reviews and technology selection to ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and promote adherence to development standards, coding conventions and secure coding practices.
• Implement, maintain and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and source control tools such as Git and TortoiseSVN.
• Perform API testing, troubleshooting and validation using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Support application monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing application quality, maintainability, security and reliability.

Technical Skills and Experience

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using C# and Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, WCF services and SOAP integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience working with MySQL databases.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations between multiple systems.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and source control tools such as Git and TortoiseSVN.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting APIs using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools.
• Understanding of application security, secure coding principles and software development best practices.
• Experience with production support, root cause investigation, application monitoring and performance optimization.
• Ability to participate in technical design discussions, review code and make sound engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development using C# and Microsoft .NET technologies, including the development and maintenance of enterprise applications, web applications and APIs.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in .NET development, Azure or related technologies would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design and deliver maintainable, scalable and secure software solutions.
